SJ23 Alum Annabelle Lanik Continues Impressive Freshman Year

Annabelle Lanik graduated from SJ23 as a volleyball signee for Trinity University. During her time at SJ23, Lanik contributed to the volleyball team's playoff success each fall. As a senior, she and the Lions reached the regional playoff round of the TAPPS 5A competition. In the spring, she was a valuable member of the track and field team, setting six school records and earning multiple state meet medals.

This past fall, Lanik began her collegiate volleyball career with the Trinity Tigers, seamlessly transitioning her skills to the next level. She helped the team achieve a 26-7 record (.788 winning percentage) and an NCAA playoff berth. The Tigers enjoyed a 17-game winning streak before falling to Emory College in the regional round. Lanik's freshman season concluded in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference championship, the 22nd in Trinity Volleyball history.

Now, with the indoor track season in full swing, Lanik is demonstrating her versatility. In her first collegiate indoor meet, she set a new Trinity school record in the 200m dash and achieved a personal best of 18 feet, 1.75 inches in the long jump. Her current long jump mark ranks her 26th in NCAA Division III (Tfrrs.com).

As the indoor season championships approach and the outdoor season looms, we eagerly anticipate Lanik's continued success. SJ23 wishes her all the best as she finishes her freshman year.
