The SJ23 soccer team's regional playoff appearance on Thursday, February 27th, against St. Michael's of Austin was a powerful testament to their unwavering spirit. Though the scoreboard reflected a 3-0 result, the game was a true display of their heart, hustle, and the immense pride they brought to the field, representing SJ23 with distinction.
Reaching the regional round is a significant achievement, a direct result of the hard work, dedication, and talent of this remarkable team. They navigated a challenging season, overcoming obstacles and growing stronger with each match.
Throughout the intense contest, they fought for every ball, relentlessly pressured their opponents, and demonstrated the true meaning of playing until the final whistle. While the outcome wasn't what they hoped for, the experience gained at this level is invaluable. The lessons learned, the bonds strengthened, and the memories forged will remain with these girls long after the final whistle has faded.
To the SJ23 girls soccer team: we are incredibly proud of you. You have shown us that true victory lies not solely in the score, but in the journey, the effort, and the heart you pour into every moment.
