Gabrielle Allen '21

Gabrielle Allen '21, a shining example of academic prowess and extracurricular dedication, continues to make waves at Rice University, proudly representing her alma mater, St. John XXIII College Preparatory.

This summer, Gabrielle delved into Alzheimer’s research at Columbia University's school of medicine, impressing her mentor, who invited her to continue her work remotely. Simultaneously, she interned at Stanford’s Zephyr Institute, where she explored bioethical topics and led a class on "The Brothers Karamazov."

In addition to her research endeavors, Gabrielle is a member of the Rice Cheerleading squad, entering her third year with the team. She also holds leadership positions as President of the Rice Philosophy Club and Vice President of Students at the Houston Institute.

Gabrielle's journey at Rice University is a testament to the education and fromation she received at SJ23, which prepared her for academic rigor and leadership roles. Her commitment to excellence in Neurodegenerative Disease research and bioethical discourse serves as an inspiration to her peers and reflects the values instilled in her at SJ23.
